It was the "Greatest Act of Retailing"!
Macy's Santa told a shopper that Gimbels had the toy she wanted for less money. Imagine, sending a customer to your competition because you care that much about their satisfaction! It was from the movie "Miracle on 34th Street" and instead of Gimbels getting all the sales, shoppers loved the fact that Macy's Santa was so caring, they chose to shop there. That was a movie - but after seeing that, I was hooked! |
My name is W E Van Schaick. In addition to being a student of retailing, first in brick and mortar, and more recently in digital space, I have worked in retail management for several decades. I am a younger Baby Boomer, lucky enough to have Millennial Daughters and a Generation Z - Post 911 Son. I have been married to my lovely wife since Ronald Regan was President. And during all that time, I have studied the science of retail.
I have created, built and owned several eBay Stores, have numerous affiliate sites, wrote many articles under pen names for Ezine Articles and Ehow, and more. I have had operated a Shopify /Oberlo store using dropshipping as my main method. I have used social media including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and Tumblr to work on building audiences and selling, either through running ads or sending visitors back to one of the many websites I have built. I also created several "more unusual" streams of passive income, and have run Google, Bing and FB ads both here and abroad. But I never achieved the level of success that I wanted. I never ticked all the boxed from my goal standards listed below.
So what, right?
My New Project Has Launched!
I have spent a literally several decades online trying to create that one e-commerce entity that had to meet the following standards:
1. The website had to offer great value to the customer
2. The concept had to be unique
3. Shopping, or Retailing as seen from my perspective, had to be fun
4. The experience needs to be exciting, the way gaming is because it is two way, not one-way shopping
5. Complete honesty - no gray area allowed
6. Trustworthy - only deal with major players as an affiliate seller that will provide total honesty, integrity, and great customer service during the purchase and check out, and after the sale
7. Easy to shop Powerhouse that displays and works great on a mobile device
8. Always understand that a shopper or visitor is a "guest in our website" that deserves the highest degree of respect, caring, and integrity along with our Thanks for visiting
9. Give back to the world - Once this website begins to generate a good amount of sales, we plan to donate a portion of the profits to help try to make the world a better place through sharing an opportunity that we benefited from. We will be transparent about that when that time occurs
That is how my latest project, www.SneakerFeeds.com was born. A simple formula of equal parts of the following:
Low Prices + Fun + Exciting + Amazing Selection + Convenience + Total Satisfaction = SneakerFeeds!
We are glad you are here. Please follow us on social media, and please tell your friends and family about us! Thank you in advance for making SneakerFeeds the best it can be for a long time to come!
